The company was awarded in the 2010 Oscar Green competition, in which it was ranked second in the Sustain the Climate category. Coldiretti and the Young Entrepreneurs group under the patronage of the President of the Republic promote the Green Oscars competition. It is now in its sixth year. The Geraci firm was awarded second prize in the “Help the Climate” category in 2010. The competition involved over 800 farms selected by a committee of farming experts and business specialists from Bocconi University. The groundbreaking Geraci project was based on research for packaging and selling olive kernels, a by-product of the extraction process, for use as domestic fuel. Transforming a waste product into a resource is advantageous for the company and good for the environment. The Green Oscar prize gives recognition to the excellent results achieved by the company thanks to its hard work in balancing tradition and technological innovation.

Another prestigious recognition was earned by the Geraci firm for the protected denomination of origin (PDO) olive oil, Bruzio. In the 2011 Slow Food guide that lists the finest olive growers in Italy. In December 2011 the farm was featured in the RAI 1 Sunday morning television programme Linea Verde. This programme broadcasts news about farming, wine and food, showcasing the products, flavours and traditions of Italy.
