The Clementine is a citrus fruit, belonging to the mandarin group, which, among others includes the typical Mediterranean mandarin (Citrus reticulata Blanco), as well as the Satsuma or Japanese mandarins. It is also commonly known with the name of mandarin orange, probably due to the fact that it is deemed to be a hybrid between a mandarin and an orange.
